The meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM by the pres= ident Chuck Needham.

ADOPTION OF THE FEBRUARY 01, 2010 MINUTES

- Job Advertisement is out and on the web site, (www.nlgc.ca), all appli= cations are due by March 13.

- Club manager should be first one hired so that he/sh= e can participate in hiring of his/her staff.

- Hiring committee consisting of Alvin Willard, Pat El= liot, Penny Graydon and Joe Marsh

will try to fill the Club M= anager=3Ds position by the next meeting scheduled for the 22 March 2010.

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS

 

GREENS

 

- Yvan Rivard has agreed to return this season.

- There are some questions about the leases and where = they are held, Brian Flaxey to investigate.

- Minimum wage has gone up again this year.

 

PRO SHOP

 

Nil

 

CLUBHOUSE

 

- Still of two minds, problem not resolved between dai= ly operations or weekend only.

- Clubhouse rentals, August 7 (wedding), October 2 (Wedding), end of October weekend (bridge tournament).

- Frogs Breath grants, we need to come up with specific projects and numbers.

- Still looking at Pro Shop and Clubhouse overlap.

- There are three caterers whom have expressed interes= t.

- Penny Graydon to come up with a = formal rental agreement.

 

FINANCES

 

- We need the increases to survive.

- The mail out of the new rates took place Tuesday 23 February 2010.

- We still need to deal with Family Memberships and Gr= een Fee packages.

- Five year memberships are starting to trickle in.

- If you want the golf course to survive we need to in= crease the fees.

 

TOURNAMENTS

 

- We may have to take on the Audrey Nightingale tourna= ment, then it would be a Saturday and a Sunday at NLGC.

- Divorce Open wants to move into June, may be overtak= en by the Socials.

- Socials could be the first Friday of each month.

- Match play may be an option or something similar to a squash ladder to get more members involved.

PLANNING

 

- All references to Steve Polybla= nk have been removed from the web site.

- An employment opportunity page has been created and = has all the openings listed.

- The new rates are listed on the web site.

- Clubhouse locks need to be changed.

- Alarm should be changed to identify who has entered = the building and when.

- The remaining bits of equipment must be retrived.

- We need to look at telephone and cable providers and= take advantage of any deals we can.
