New Business
- Penny Graydon suggested the first NLGC newsletter to be out in June and a second one to follow in August/September.
- Prior to our meeting Bruce Helbig presented the board with an opportunity to trade green fees for shirts provided by the KARBON company. The way it would work is the KARBON company would supply the NLGC with 300 golf shirts in exchange for a one day tournament. The tournament would be run by KARBON representatives and all green fees and cart fees associated with the tournament would be turned over to KARBON and 10% would go to a local charity. The club would get all food and beverage sales associated with the tournament. The date of the tournament would have to be mutually agreed upon. Logos of up to 8,000 stiches will be put on the shirts for free by KARBON and NLGC can sell these 300 shirts at whatever cost we deem appropriate.
- Motion to accept the promotional offer from KARBON
Moved by George Beasley, seconded by Brian Flaxey
CARRIED
- Mike Bonnah to ask Alf O’Reilly to design new logo for NLGC.
- Water hookup for the clubhouse and reduction of taxes for NLGC.
- This is about fairness for the whole city of Temiskaming Shores.
- The Provincial Policy statement states that water and sewer are to go together and we are currently only asking for water. Pederson construction is poised to do the work but need the city to approve the plans.
- If the city officials want to meet it should be with the executive committee.
Motion to adjourn.
Moved by Joe Marsh that the meeting be adjourned at 9:20 PM.
