CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM by the president Chuck Needham.
ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA
Motion to re-instate Mike McArthur to the board of directors.

ADOPTION OF THE MARCH 16, 2009 MINUTES
Motion to accept the March 16, 2009 minutes.

BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES
It was pointed out by Bill Johnston that the tournament committee should be looking into sponsors for mens night.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
GREENS
- An update on the greens was presented by Cory Philips.
- An ad has been placed for a permanent greens superintendent.
- Until a permanent replacement can be found Cory will act as a consultant for $1,000 per month.
- Walk around of the course revealed that greens are as good as last fall.
- Soil samples of greens 1, 9, 10, and 18 were taken and sent away for analysis.
- T One Bent grass used in the past requires a lot of TLC.
- Recommend Fescue and Bent grass blend (BG7)that will germinate in 5 to 7 days.
- Fertilizer and seed have been ordered.
- Plan to add 5 inches of sand to greens over next five years to improve drainage.
- Grinder needs to be repaired.
- Reels need to be repaired, bearings of reels need to be replaced every two years.
- If we don=t have this expertise in house, Frogs Breath can do the training.
- IPM agent is required for pesticides use this year, Cory will act as our agent.
- Will need a pesticide applicator, perhaps Billy Terris will apply pesticides for this year.
- Irrigation water will also need to be sampled and corrected if required.
- Initial cost for insecticide, soil sterilizer and seed to be about $6,000.00.
- Greens Nursery from Frogs Breath will supply patches if required.
- 6 maintenance workers have been hired to date.
- Still looking for a lead hand to manage greens workers.
- Steve Shepherdson still a valued resource that can be consulted if required.
PRO SHOP
- 7/8 of stock is in.
- Accepting memberships.
- All pro shop workers from last year have applied to return.
- Hours of operation will be weather dependant until course opens.
CLUBHOUSE
- 2 people have applied to run the kitchen.
- Water hook up has been approved, work to start 4 May.
- Flooring to commence shortly.
FINANCES
- Alvin presented this years budget.
Motion to accept the budget as read with the changes discussed.

TOURNAMENTS
- There were discussions on the two man tournament and it was decided to go ahead with it as planned.
ADVERTISING
- Advertising for golf club to start May 11 on CJTT.
MEMBERSHIP
- Combined membership with Haileybury, members will pay their fees at the NLGC and the combined fee at the Haileybury club.
Motion to accept the committee reports.

NEW BUSINESS
- There were discussions on how to increase our share of the profits from the Smitty=s Tournament and it was decided that for this year we would have to charge for the cart rentals.
- The estimate from Maire Story for the water permit was $10,000.00, a second estimate will be sought.
- New logo=s as designed by Alf O=Reilly were presented and discussed. It was decided that something simpler was needed. Mike Bonnah to discuss with Alf.
