CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 PM by the president Chuck Needham.

ADOPTION OF THE JULY 20, 2009 MINUTES

Motion to accept the August 20, 2009 minutes as presented.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

GREENS

- Instrata application for snow mold ordered, cost $4,455.00, two applications in the fall, one in spring. Greens will still be useable.

- Compressor for blowout, can be rented for $135.00/day.

- Permit to take water, allowed 50,000 liters/day (one night of watering equals 200,000 liters).

- Soil test from Turf Canada show positive progress.

- Fall fertilizer bookings allow 5 - 7 % discount with payment June 01, 2010. $15,000.00 fertilizer projected order, could be reduced to about $11,000.00.

- #11 gold tee rebuilt and extended forward, #16 tee removed railway ties, sloped front for easier maintenance access.

- Leveled left fringe on #2 green with plugs to reduce equipment damage from rough terrain.

- Serviced 20 carts.

- Tees and greens aerated for winter, blow out will be done the end of October.

- Drainage of holes # 13 to # 17 best to the creek.

- Water feasibility, 50,000 liters will do greens only for the season.

- Budget of $55,000.00 for 2009, budget for 2010 around $46,000.00 but could be reduced slightly.

- Equipment overhaul by Grant=s mechanic would save money in the long run. Investigate cost.

- Bill Johnson recommended that the green=s crew be rehired for the 2010 season.

PRO SHOP

- Green fees up $2,300.00, membership down $20,000.00.

- Excellent September, $1,300.00 profit.

- Joe Marsh and Chuck Needham recommend to rehire Steve Polyblank. Motion to be brought forward at the October 19 meeting.

CLUBHOUSE

- Christmas rental December 12. Fixed fee plus all the bar profits.

TOURNAMENTS

- 3 man tournament was excellent.

- Divorce open to be moved to the third week in June.

- More socials on Friday nights.

ADVERTISING

- Done for 2009 season.

PLANNING

- Web site should be paid for so it is not lost.

- No capital projects.

MEMBERSHIP

No Report.
